Hulcher Services, Inc. first began doing work for the Trinity River Vision Authority in 2015 after being awarded a contract to clean and remove tanks and piping at the former Texas Refinery site as well as prepare the site for a clean demolition.
Following the Texas Refinery project, Hulcher was the successful bidder on the contact for environmental remediation of the former AIRCO/APAC site. This work consisted of excavation of over 70,000 tons of soil, including the treatment f over 15,000 tons of soil with a phosphate-based admixture. Additionally, Hulcher removed six million gallons of groundwater which was treated and discharge in an environmentally safe manner.
Hulcher has been in business for almost 50 years and their corporate headquarters has been in Denton for over 30 years. They have been able to serve and grow by engaging a host of small and diverse business enterprises. Hulcher utilized approximately one dozen subcontractors and suppliers for the soil remediation project. This included critical key subs, all diverse, for trucking services, surveying services, geotechnical services and seeding.
