If you’re not familiar with Fort Worth based, Josh Weathers we’re going to hold back the urge to ask what rock you’ve been living under and take a minute to give you the low down.

This rock-n-soul infused, high energy 4 piece powerhouse has shared the stage with acts including The Wood Brothers, Galactic, Monte Montgomery, Average White Band, Eddie Money, George Clinton and Leon Russell.

Last year was quite successful for Josh Weathers, between the release of his 4th album “Big Night in the City” and getting voted best Blues/Soul and Best Male Vocalist in the Fort Worth Weekly Music Awards he’s earned quite the reputation around these parts. A reputation which has been hard earned as Preston Jones of DFW.com named him the “Hardest working man in local music”.

If you’ve never witnessed a live performance we suggest your bring your dancing shoes (or for Rockin’ the River your dancing flip flops) as his set list includes original songs, covers of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” and a variety of other surprises.

To hear for yourself we suggest subscribing to our Rockin’ the River playlist on Spotify and coming to Rockin’ the River on June 6th as he kicks off the series.
