The Toadies announced yesterday they will host their famous festival, Dia De Los Toadies, on the banks of the Trinity River in their hometown, Fort Worth. “It's been great moving the Dia festival around Texas, but at a certain point, we realized that we need to share it with our hometown, Fort Worth, where the band is still based.  We played Billy Bob's last year and it reminded us what a hometown crowd is like, so moving the festival made perfect sense,” says Toadies guitarist, Clark Vogeler.

The 6th annual Dia De Los Toadies will take place September 13-14, 2013 at Panther Island Pavilion which is located directly adjacent to Downtown Fort Worth.

Vogeler said, "It always feels like a big family reunion with a great soundtrack. I dig the eclectic nature of our lineups. Each of us in the band picks music that we want to share with our fans, and each other. I love that you can hear some quiet acoustic stuff, some country-ish honkey-tonk stuff, and of course, lots of Texas rock and roll.”

These days, there’s no end in sight for either the band or their venerable fest, which has been hailed by the Austin Chronicle as "Willie's picnic for a new generation" and by the Dallas Observer as “a mutual head-nod from artist to artist, from one rock generation to another.” These days, Dia’s become a tradition all its own.
